The Indianapolis Intercultural Network (IIN) is an organization started by my dear friend Tafadzwa Nzara.   “Taz” as he is better known is from Zimbabwe.  When starting this organization, he wanted to bring together professionals from around the city to network, drink, eat and help people in need around the world.  I attended their holiday soiree.  Just like all of IIN’s events, the holiday soiree was held at a local bar in Indianapolis.  A local chef provided wonderful food and drinks were available for purchase from the bar.  There was also line up of several different DJs set to perform throughout the night.

Beyond drinking, eating and socializing, another goal for the event was to provide children in Thailand with a great holiday

When I was there, the party was just getting started.  I met up with some friends that I had not seen in a while and also got to network with a few people, just as intended.  I am hoping that these new contacts could lead to a potential internship in the coming months.  Beyond drinking, eating and socializing, another goal for the event was to provide children in Thailand with a great holiday.  Raffle tickets could be bought and the proceeds were being sent to the children.

From my point of view, the event was a great success.  I did learn that as the night progressed, the party attracted more and more people, so attendance and support for the event was not a problem.  Taz continues to do a great job of bringing together professionals and helping various groups and people around the world at the same time.
